It is not that our economic system has created little wealth. Looking at the chart in the prince of all the global lists in a very long period (1930-2008). Growth, despite a thousand crises, tensions, social dramas, recessions, it is impressive. It must be said that to achieve this growth, perhaps, has been destroyed half the planet, but we could use the future wealth produced by economic misdeeds to adjust (green energy, solar and renewable energy in general, car hydrogen, bio, etc) and continue the trend.
The biggest problem is the distribution of all this wealth.
We could find one thousand reasons to our remorse regarding the homeless on the left but our conscience is not entirely placherà until even our industrialized civilization produce subject to the margins that we often pretend we do not see when we pass through the streets of our cities.
Even less justification there is for the children of underdeveloped countries literally dying of hunger. The FAO's recent warning that tells us that one billion people suffer from hunger makes us terribly to think of what is right, for our part, to travel with that kind of tanks called SUV, go bother clothes, wasting energy, etc.
Now that the economic crisis, which is stronger than the normal cyclical crisis typical of our economic system, also produces problems for large sections of people in industrialized countries that first lived well enough, the problem of distribution of wealth, in my opinion, will be the new helm of the world since the rise of its creation is not always easy for prosecution.
Maybe it will be a world that will require more serious, less waste and much imagination and skill by all the leaders of various countries of this world. And even if it is not easy, everyone again but with a more solid and concrete than before and perhaps resolve, in large part, the cases presented at the ends of the graph.
